The APU expansion joint profile DUO-TEX-K is used in external thermal insulation composite systems for building joints. The profiles are produced for the surface (W53-F) and for the inner corner (W53-E) for the flush formation of a clean plaster edge with scratch and thick plasters.

The profile consists of two plastic profiles to each of which a fabric strip is welded. Each bar has a fabric overhang of 10 cm on one side in the longitudinal direction. Between the profiles there is a fabric-reinforced connecting strap made of soft PVC to absorb movements. On each bar, the connecting flap has an overlap of approx. 5 cm, so that the profiles are overlapped in the butt area and water drainage is thus ensured. The enclosed connectors (Z13) can be used to join the profiles together in an aligned manner. After completion of the plastering work, a clean plaster finish for scratch plaster is created.
